About ALLFIE
The Alliance for Inclusive Education (ALLFIE) is the only national Disabled Peoples Organisation campaigning for the right to Inclusive Education in mainstream settings. For over 30 years, we’ve worked to ensure Inclusive Education is a right, not a struggle.
ALLFIE’s vision is to create an inclusive society by ensuring that Inclusive Education is available within mainstream settings for ALL Disabled people. We campaign for ‘a world where Inclusive Education is a right not a struggle’, and for Disabled pupils and students to be fully included in mainstream education, training and apprenticeships, with all necessary support. We also create the resources that people and organisations need to advocate for Inclusive Education, training and apprenticeships, and to develop good inclusive practice.

Report to: Capacity Building and Development Lead
Salary: £21,247 per year pro rata (£35,412 per year FTE)
Hours: 21 hours per week
Contract length: Part-time 3 years fixed term contract
Annual Leave: 25 days per year plus bank holidays pro rata
Location: Hybrid
About the Role
ALLFIE is seeking a passionate Movement & Capacity Building Coordinator to help strengthen and grow the Inclusive Education movement.
In this role, you will build and support grassroots networks, including Young Disabled people and parents, community groups, trade unions and allies. You will develop accessible resources, support collective action, and help create opportunities for people to lead and shape change.
You will:
- Build and support networks of Disabled activists, young people, families and allies
- Support and deliver movement-building activities, events, and training
- Create accessible resources and digital content
- Represent ALLFIE at meetings and events
- Support project planning, monitoring and reporting
About You
We’re looking for someone with the following characteristics:
- Has lived experience of being a Disabled person
- Is committed to Inclusive Education, the social model of disability, disability justice and working in an intersectional way
- Enjoys connecting people and supporting grassroots organising
- Confident facilitating groups and speaking publicly
- Can create accessible content for diverse audiences
- Organised, proactive and collaborative
- Comfortable using digital tools and social media
- Ready to travel in and outside London
Experience in activism, movement-building or youth-led work is a strong advantage.
